/ Dianne JonesJoin us as we stroll through Loring Park – an incredibly beautiful park in the heart of Minneapolis
Apartments and offices line this beautiful corridor of peace and tranquility...
The aroma and magnificent color of the landscaping...
The refreshing fountains – and the glee of the children's voices and laughter...
Sparkling water...
A cattail and a church...
Nutty squirrel, busy at work. My grandmother, Tinie, used to tell the story of Nutty squirrel, preparing for a long winter...
Invitation of solitude in the flower gardens...
The contrast, the colors, the glory of nature...
The sculpture garden...
A man and his dog. The quote by the sculpture, "The archaic Greek walking man's spine is very erect and he has one foot forward and his arms are straight down, and he's as much Greek as he is Egyptian as he is Greek. It goes on and on through Giacometti.
–George Segal, American 1924-2000
The beautiful sculpture in front of a church...
A black squirrel? New to me. Sterling didn't care what color they were – she found it fun to chase any color!
We have walked about 7 miles each day, we have met new friends along the way....moments of solitude and quite reflection fill my soul. Thanks for joining us on this visual tour through Loring Park. Thank you Minneapolis for seeing the need and benefit of creating space for still amidst the hurry and quiet amidst the noice.
